It's your home, your vision and our job.
Interior
Anyone can put paint on interior walls. What
distinguishes the professional painter is surface preparation and how
much they get the paint where you don't want it. Neatness
does count. We find that surface preparation is often a more important
part of the job than applying paint and we are meticulous about our preparation
standards.
Protecting your furniture and floors from
unwanted paint is also a priority and a matter of the very careful use
of drop cloths. We have a huge collection of them - and more importantly,
we take the time to use them. We also take the time to leave your
space clean at the end of everyday, eliminating the risk of overnight
accidents or bumps in the night. |
 Exterior
There is no getting around it, exterior
walls are a tough environment for paint, especially in New England. Sun,
rain, and wind are abusive, and as a result exterior surfaces often need
serious scraping and filling before the actual paint application. In
badly alligatored cases we have found that a 5-step process is necessary
and very effective: Scrape and sand the alligators off, prime,
fill with putty, sand, then paint 2 coats. It's not rocket science,
but short-cuts only work for a short time. We have restored 100-year
old alligatored paint to incredible beauty - and we can do it for you. |
Wood
We can make your woodwork glow, regardless
of whether it is new or old. Sanding, staining, and polyurethaning
with one of the new incredibly tough water-based poly materials will
restore and preserve your beautiful woodwork. |
Faux
The ability to do faux painting separates
the men from the boys. It's one of our specialties. Jack
learned this skill in Ireland when he was an apprentice painter there. They
don't have fancy woods like oak in Ireland, so he learned to paint faux
oaks, mahogany and other exotic woods. |
